1 If possible, return to manufacturer. Otherwise, obtain chemical identity and request pickup by EH&S for disposal as hazardous waste.
2 Call EH&S, 5-8200, to arrange for removal of hazardous waste; follow procedures outlined in "Procedures for Preparing Hazardous Waste for Disposal", available by request from 5-0485 or eh22@cornell.edu.
3 Researchers at Cornell are allowed to store unregistered pesticides for experimental purposes [as defined in 6 NYCRR 326.22(b)(1)]. If the pesticides are restricted use, Cornell must employ a certified applicator to possess the materials. Pesticides listed in 6 NYCRR 326.2(c) pesticides banned for possession in New York State, are not allowed to be stored by Cornell employees. [ref. NYSDEC corresp. 12/19/02.]
